Night shift position (7p-7a) for correctional company
We are looking for a dedicated LPN/RN to join us in providing excellent care to inmates. This job is located at the Boyle County Jail in Danville KY.
We are searching for a knowledgeable and passionate nursing staff member diligent about serving patient's medical needs. Focused on delivering high-quality care to individuals of diverse backgrounds while protecting patient's safety and promoting satisfaction with facility services. Maintains composure and makes accurate decisions in a fast-paced, unpredictable, and stressful environments. We work in a safety security environment; strong boundaries are important in this setting. Familiar with documentation, record keeping, and compliance requirements.
Position Summary:
- Provide general and emergency care in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Medication set up, distribution, and administration in accordance to instructions
- Confident and firm problem solving
- Precise chart documentation
- sample collection
- Blood pressure checks and blood draw
- IV insertion and infection control
Qualifications
- Valid RN or LPN license
- Proficient in catheterization and patient assessment
- Knowledge of EHR systems and HIPAA regulations
- Experience in basic life support and tube feeding
- Familiarity with critical care
- Strong skills in IV infusion and triage
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including those with developmental disabilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $33.50 per hour
