What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Dental Call Center Scheduler position at Comprehensive Dentistry?
We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Lead Call Center Scheduler to join our team! In this role, you will work in our on-site call center and be the first point of contact for our patients, handling all scheduling needs via phone and other communication channels. Your work will ensure our patients receive timely and efficient care while supporting our dental practice's smooth operation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and assist patients with scheduling appointments.
- Provide patients with information about their appointments and answer their general questions about our practice.
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments as needed using our dental software (Dentrix).
- Communicate appointment reminders to patients.
- Coordinate with dental office staff to manage the appointment schedule effectively.
- Handle patient inquiries, address concerns, and escalate issues as necessary.
- Update patient records with accurate contact and appointment information.
- Maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring patient satisfaction.
- Routinely review the patient schedule to ensure efficient scheduling, making changes as needed ahead of time
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Greet patients at the front desk.
- Check patients out, take payment, and schedule next appointments.
- Lead huddle to make sure the whole team is empowered to meet office goals and create a plan for the shift of execution
Requirements:
- Experience managing a high call volume in a professional setting is required
- Call Center experience a plus
- Dental experience a plus (but willing to train the right candidate)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle patient information with confidentiality.
