The HVAC Service Technician Helper is a dual-role position that supports both warehouse operations and field service activities. This role requires a versatile individual who can efficiently manage warehouse duties and assist in HVACR service tasks in the field.
Essential Duties
- Manage shipping, receiving, inventory control, and organization within the warehouse.
- Assist in preparing and staging equipment and materials for upcoming HVAC projects.
- Deliver parts and equipment to job sites and provide on-site support to technicians.
- Perform basic installation and maintenance tasks under the supervision of certified HVAC technicians.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols both in the warehouse and in the field.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse environment.
- Efficiently manage time and workload to support both warehouse and field operations.
- Ensure all company vehicles used are kept clean and well-maintained.
- Comply with all traffic and safety regulations while operating company vehicles.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems preferred.
- Experience in warehouse operations or a similar role is beneficial
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Attend CES training classes scheduled for HVAC Service Techs (all levels), which is conducted through the CES Service Department
- Successful completion of Air Conditioning Contractors Association (ACCA/CF) HVAC Apprentice program, preferred but not required

- Possess mechanical aptitude
- Work within industry standards of accuracy
- Able to make decisions based on measurable criteria
- Practical oral and written communications skills required
- Install, maintain and repair a variety of HVAC equipment
- Analyze, diagnose and repair system malfunctions
- Document and maintain accurate records and reports on completed assignments
- Able to apply manufacturers' instructions, and to clearly communicate with customers, suppliers, along with employees from other job-site contractors and CES employees
- Work independently and under minimal supervision
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well under both supervision and independently.
- Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must not have a fear of heights.
- Valid Florida Driver's License is required
- Incumbent must be insurable at all times by CES insurance carrier
- OSHA 10 certification, preferred but not required
