Summary
The Service Plumbing Manager (SPM) reports directly to the Director of Service. Responsible for overseeing the plumbing operations, ensures excellent customer service delivery while driving team performance. Must be a plumbing expert with high level of leadership management skills to lead the service plumbers, maintain high operational standards, proactive problem-solving and commitment to development, training and exceeding company goals.
Essential Functions
- Grow plumbing service department revenue by calling on customers and selling projects and service.
- Assist the Service Sales Consultants with quoting and closing plumbing services.
- Recruit and retain plumbing service technicians.
- Oversee the plumbing service performance and assure that services calls are being met per company standards while driving professionalism.
- Able to collaborate with department managers to accomplish company goals and customer service goals.
- Point of contact for escalating customers' concerns and being able to retain long-term relationships
- Incorporate weekly department meetings for coaching, training and safety topics.
- Review and monitor performance daily and forecast department goals to achieve and exceed expectations.
- Proactively improve team efficiency through job readiness checks.
- Assist in managing inventory to ensure availability for equipment and parts as needed.
- Assist as needed troubleshooting field service calls and problem solving.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Service plumbers, Services Lead plumbers, Service coordinators
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, or High School Diploma with 5 years plumbing experience, or High School Diploma with experience as a plumbing service manager or similar leadership role
- Extensive plumbing field experience and knowledgeable on Code and ADA requirements
- Strong plumbing diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Florida Driver's License is required.
- Florida Certified Plumbing Contractor license preferred.
