Job Description: As a Gastroenterology Endoscopy Technician, you will play a vital role in our endoscopy suite and gastroenterology office. You will work alongside an experienced gastroenterologist, board-certified anesthesiologist, and endoscopy nurse to assist during endoscopies and colonoscopies. Your responsibilities will include providing support with equipment and accessories, scope processing, holding and recovery turnover, administering immunizations, performing phlebotomy, and ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of consultation rooms. Additionally, you will contribute to facilitating the patient experience during office visits, including obtaining weight, vitals, and documenting health history into the electronic medical record. You will also assist with facilitating communication with referring providers and provide backup support for greeting patients in reception and answering phones.
Full-Time Job Description:
- Full-time position, 36-40 hours per week.
- Work 4 or 5 days a week.
- Two Saturdays per month, from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm.
- Immediate start date.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Gastroenterology Endoscopy Technician is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong knowledge of endoscopy procedures and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with the medical team.
- Current CPR certification is preferred.
- Flexibility to provide backup support in other areas of the office as needed.
