Your Role & Responsibilities :

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
What Were Looking For :
Provides professional services within the scope of occupational therapy practice standards in collaboration with primary care physicians and other members of the health care team and teaches and educates patients and their families.
QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) in the state of practice.
Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OTA program (or equivalent international certification).
Eligible for or has successfully passed the NBCOT certification exam for OTAs.
Minimum 2 years of experience as an OTA (home health experience preferred).
Current CPR certification (required).
Ability to lift, turn, and transfer patients weighing up to 150 lbs.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills to work effectively with patients and families.
Comfortable traveling to patient homes (reliable transportation required).
If educated outside the United States, on or after January 1, 2008
Graduated after successful completion of an occupational therapy assistant education program that is accredited as substantially equivalent to occupational therapist assistant entry-level education in the United States by :
A) The Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
B) The World Federation of Occupational Therapists.
C) By a credentialing body approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association; and
D) Completed the entry-level certification examination for occupational therapy assistants developed and administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT).
