Comprehensive life Resources is looking for a HIT intern to join our Information Services team in downtown Tacoma, WA.
Function: The Health IT Support Technician Intern plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of CLR’s IT infrastructure. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience and practical knowledge to students or recent graduates pursuing a career in Information Technology. The intern will work closely with the Health IT team to support end-users, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain IT systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Assist with projects such as security (antivirus, endpoint protection, firewalls), upgrades, infrastructure deployments, etc.
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop and laptop hardware issues.
- Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on computer systems.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining user accounts and permissions.
- Document and track support requests and resolutions using a ticketing system.
- Provide support for peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement improvements to the support process.
- Keep users and clients informed about the status of their issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- General proficiency working in Active Directory, Windows 11, and Microsoft 365
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
