Comprehensive Life Resource is looking for a qualified Mental Health Counselor II to join our team in Tacoma, WA.

Function: Provide Counseling services as part of a behavioral health services treatment team. Qualify as a
Certified Agency Affiliated Counselor and MHP through WA Department of Health. Work may be in the
clinic and/or in the community depending on program and client needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical counseling to assigned clients using Motivational Interviewing and cognitive behavioral techniques.
- Work as part of a clinical care team to provide integrated health care for clients.
- Provide support and counseling to client’s family and natural supports as appropriate.
- Be prepared to respond to client crisis as appropriate or needed.
- Complete mental health assessment, provisional diagnosis, and risk assessment, reviewed and confirmed by a master’s level mental health professional, ARNP or psychiatric provider.
- Work with clients and multidisciplinary team to develop a treatment plan and track progress in achieving goals.
- Complete other clinical paperwork in a timely and thorough manner.
- Keep records up to date and in compliance with WAC, Title XIX and agency requirements.
- Ensure that ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained.
- In addition to the above, perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain a Certified Agency Affiliated Counselor with WA Department of Health by possessing a Bachelors Degree in an approved social sciences field and a minimum of 5 years experience in behavioral health service delivery under the supervision of Mental Health Professional.
- Must have computer/technology skills enabling successful navigation and documentation in an electronic health records, emailing and using basic phone applications.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.
- Valid Washington State driver’s license; proof of insurance.
