What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Technician Day Shift position at Comprehensive Logistics?
The Materials Technician will be responsible for the following :
- Under the direction of the materials supervisor, this position performs duties related to shipping of product.
- Verifies and organizes distribution of incoming / outgoing products.
- Prepares related documents.
- Maintains shipping / receiving area.
- Maintain records of all outgoing and incoming shipments from and to the warehouse.
- Prepare shipping documents along with the correct mailing labels and ensure that all orders are correctly fulfilled.
- Reconcile waybill, bill of lading with bill of materials and actual shipment arrivals.
- Ensure that the goods delivered to the warehouse are in accordance with approved orders and the associated bill of lading or invoice.
- Maintain the automated inventory management system to ensure that actual physical inventory matches the database logical inventory.
- Completing all legal formalities, procedures, and paperwork for receiving / shipping the goods.
- Other duties as required.

General Requirements :
Supervisory Responsibilities : None
Education and / or Experience : High School Diploma or GED. 1-2 years’ experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations : None
Computer Skills : MS Office products to include Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency level. Experience using a Warehouse Management System is preferred. Basic
knowledge of SAP (where SAP is used) is preferred.

Work Environment :
The employee will be working in a warehouse environment and will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Employee will be exposed to variable temperature conditions based on the season. They will also be exposed to medium to loud noise conditions and may be working near vibration. Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. Must have adequate hearing, eyesight, depth perception, and color vision to perform duties.
