Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audiometric assessments and diagnostic tests to evaluate hearing and balance disorders.
- Fit, dispense, and modify hearing aids and other assistive listening devices.
- Provide patient education on hearing conservation, device usage, and rehabilitation strategies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans.
- Document patient evaluations, treatments, and progress in electronic health record systems.
- Adapt treatment methodologies to suit the mobile care environment effectively.
- Engage in community outreach and education initiatives to promote awareness of hearing health.
- Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure to practice audiology in Virginia.
- Experience with hearing assessments and intervention techniques is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and audiological practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient engagement.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple patient appointments in a mobile care setting.
