Compensation: $900 per day

What We Provide

Schedule

• Flexible part-time schedule.
• Weekday availability, typically 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
• 4-8 days per month

Key Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Optometrist, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive eye exams for elderly patients, identifying conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and provide long-term prescription adjustments.
• Educate patients on eye care practices, including managing dry eyes, preventing falls, and improving vision-related quality of life.
• Collaborate with facility care teams to ensure seamless coordination of care.
• Create a safe, comfortable environment for elderly patients, accommodating their physical or cognitive needs.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
• A current state license to practice optometry.
• Experience in providing optometric care to the geriatric population.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
