What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Comprehensive Pain Management?
Warwick Pain Associates, LLC/DBA Comprehensive Pain Management is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant. The candidate must be able to multitask well and is a team player assisting Nurse Practitioners and Pain Physicians. Must be willing to travel to satellite offices in South Kingstown. Reliability and good work ethic is a must
Duties may include but not limited to any/or all of the following:
Coordinates patient schedules with professional staff and schedules appointments
- Registers patients, verifying insurance coverage and appropriate referrals, answers telephone and directs calls appropriately and professionally.
- Prepare patient appointments for days ahead. Preparing each patient’s medical record per office protocol (i.e., lab reports, allergies and other correspondence.)
- Obtain and record blood pressure, height, weight, pulse, respirations, and temperature as needed.
- Directing patients for urinalysis collection.
- Perform all duties assigned
Job Qualifications and Specifications
- Medical Assistant experience 1-2 years preferred
- Experience with Electronic Health Record systems.
- Active CPR Certification
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
