Job Description
As a Physiatry Consultant, you will work closely with our post-acute therapy team to optimize rehabilitative outcomes and promote patient independence. You will treat patients exclusively at a designated skilled nursing facility (SNF) or post-acute rehab center. Your responsibilities will include assessing and collaborating on barriers to therapy, following therapy patients to track their progress, and becoming an integral part of the SNF team by attending multidisciplinary meetings and bridging gaps between therapy and internal medicine.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need a passion for post-acute healthcare and serving the geriatric population, as well as strong interpersonal skills and empathy for patients and facility partners. A background in physiatry or rehabilitation medicine is preferred, but not required.
