What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Comprehensive Spine and Pain?
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Prepare charts/paperwork for patients
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Epic
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Assist with Workers Comp and MVA patients/paperwork
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a nursing assistant training program
- Knowledge of human anatomy and basic medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
