We seek a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our physician-owned women's health private practice in Columbus, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient appointments, coordinating referrals, and managing provider schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments through incoming phone contacts, website requests, and provider referrals.
- Coordinate outgoing referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers
- Communicate with patients to confirm appointments and provide necessary information
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations for referrals - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and referral documentation
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient care coordination
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred
- Proven experience in medical office scheduling and referral coordination
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and scheduling software,
- Epic preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures
