Application Developer

Job Description:

CompTech is seeking an Application Developer to support our customer, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The Application Developer provides knowledge of, or experience with, containers, microservices, and configuring low-code/no-code BPM software and technology services to help ensure the updated and modernized production level environment satisfactorily accomplishes associated IT requirements. Additionally, this role:

• Configures software that sufficiently meets defined functional and technical requirements as well as addresses capability gaps in an iterative and evolutionary manner
• Maintains the contract writing capability baseline by ensuring sufficient expertise and resources are available to further configure, troubleshoot, and resolve faults, improve performance, and/or adapt capability consistent with anticipated security or underlying software, technology, or system changes
• Captures and documents all architecture, software, and capability design changes and detailed specifications
• Ensures testing follows a risk-based management approach, consistent with industry best practices and configured capability is delivered in accordance with approved requirements' specifications
• Integrates, streamlines, and automates to the maximum extent practicable, all testing, i.e., software, hardware, and architecture testing, government development and/or configuration testing, system safety assessments, etc., to accelerate delivery timelines based on early and iterative risk assessments

This position may be asked to support project testing and QA, define, in coordination with the appropriate stakeholders, the streamlined processes by which capabilities, features, user stories, use cases, and test scripts, will be tested and evaluated to satisfy production level test and evaluation criteria and to demonstrate production level operational effectiveness, suitability, interoperability, and survivability, including cyber survivability for operational test and evaluations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Five (5) years progressive experience with database query languages such as Oracle, PL SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access
• Three (3) years hands-on experience and expertise in Database Schema management
• Experience also shall include capability to work on various operating systems and additional programming languages and experience in at least two (2) projects in a large organization responsible for administering, operating, maintaining, and securing a large-scale computer database

Certification Requirements:

• IAT level II certification such as CompTIA Security
