Position Details

Under general supervision, perform skilled carpentry, cabinetry and related work in the repair, maintenance, modification and construction of facilities and appurtenances; perform rough and finish carpentry, mill and cabinet work.

Essential Functions - Typical Duties

Perform finish carpentry work, such as installing or replacing of paneling and trim, setting and hanging

cabinets; repair wood furniture, hang sheet rock; hang, plum and level doors and door jams.

• Perform rough carpentry for new construction and repair work; repair damage to walls, floors, roofs;

construction remove damaged structures and woodwork.

Construct and repair wood structures including partitions, counters, windows, fences, barricades,

closets, cases, furniture and other wooden fixtures.

Operate lathes, planers, jointers, sanders, band saws, table saws and other wood working machinery.

Maintain and store woodworking tools and equipment; operate a light truck incidental to performance

of work.

Observe and implement proper safety practices.

Assist other maintenance personnel in construction and repair projects.

Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience

Any combination equivalent to : graduation from high school and four years semi-skilled to skilled

experience in the carpentry trade.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

Valid California Class C driver's license.
