Job Title : CT Tech
Job Location : Rapid City, SD
Scheduling :
Varied schedule : Discussed during interview with Leadership
Primarily work night shifts
Weekend rotation : weekend rotation, discussed during interview
No call required
Overtime optional
Holiday Expectations : holiday rotation required
Approval of time off? Manager conducts interviews
General Information :
Level II Trauma Center / Rural South Dakota
Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? Yes
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Types of Patients :
Heavy trauma population - Falls, MVAs, GSW, Stabbings, etc
Will scan throughout various areas - Inpatient / ED / Outpatient, will do higher level scans such as Angiograms, etc.
Scans per Day :
ED - 60-70 per 24 hrs
Inpatient - Varies
Outpatient - Approx. 50 / day
Equipment Types :
Siemens only - 4 Scanners within the department
Required Certifications :
ARRT-CT
Education Requirements :
Must graduate from a Radiology Program that will allow them to sit for (ARRT)(R) (CT) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification with advanced certification in Cat Scan
No State licensure is required
Skills required :
CTA (preferred)
Team oriented; Experience in comparable facility (size / acuity)
Charting System :
EPIC (preferred)
Floating : If yes, where?
None
Orientation : (facility and unit)
