Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to install, test, and repair mechanical and electrical aircraft systems. This includes performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of complex systems such as airframes and engines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation and troubleshooting of various mechanical systems on military and FAA fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
- Read and interpret mechanical fabrication and installation drawings.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Develop and assist in the creation of engineering drawings.
Required Skills:
- Airframe and powerplant license.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, air tools, and aircraft manuals.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Heavy aircraft maintenance experience.
- Experience with DC-9/MD80 aircraft.
- Skilled in the use of rivet tools, sheet-metal, and machine tools (such as shears, brakes, notchers, saws, milling machines, lathes, etc.).
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A&P License.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Associates Degree.
Flying requirements:
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant License required.
