Job Summary :
The Drafting / CAD Technician III utilizes integrated computer-aided design (CAD) systems to systematically represent and dimension mechanical and architectural structures. The role involves preparing drawings, schematics, and specifications for mechanical equipment and structures, employing CAD digitizing techniques and engineering calculations. This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and the ability to independently solve complex problems related to design and drafting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Utilize CAD systems to prepare detailed drawings and schematics for mechanical equipment and architectural structures.
- Perform engineering calculations to support the preparation and revision of specifications and designs.
- Resolve complex design issues by examining pertinent facts and evidence, and seek direction on cross-functional or broadly impactful issues.
- Independently handle the majority of problems encountered in day-to-day tasks, ensuring compliance with project deadlines and confidentiality requirements.
- Collaborate with team members and coordinate activities beyond routine tasks, recommending process improvements when appropriate.
- Regularly communicate with outside work groups and external contacts, managing sensitive information as needed.
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds quality standards and project timelines.
