; Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Power Generation Technician to provide mechanical and electrical maintenance, repair, and support for large-scale industrial diesel generators. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with high-powered diesel engines (4kW-2000kW and up to 2500kW), including both mechanical and electrical repair expertise. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues, and completing repairs at customer sites, ensuring minimal downtime and excellent customer service.

; Maintenance & Repairs: Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on industrial generators at customer sites with minimal direction. Work on both the engine and electrical components, ensuring optimal performance.Customer Interaction: Engage with customers professionally, providing updates on repairs, services, and any needed actions. Maintain a high standard of customer service and communication.Tools & Documentation: Use specialized tools and follow documented procedures to diagnose and repair generators. Prepare required parts and tools, and complete service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims in business systems.Training & Safety: Complete necessary training in line with business requirements and safety regulations (e.g., 70-E safety training, load banking). Adhere to all Health, Safety & Environmental policies and report any issues or incidents.Unit Installation & Commissioning: Support new unit installations, commissioning, switchgear, and paralleling (if applicable).

; Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience working on industrial diesel engines and power generation systems.Hands-on experience with high-voltage and low-voltage systems and electrical repair in power generation environments.Familiarity with large generators (4kW-2000kW, some 2500kW), with the ability to diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical components.Technician Level II: At least some relevant technician experience, capable of working on an intermediate number of products with limited supervision, focusing on moderately complex maintenance and repair.Technician Level III: Significant relevant experience, able to work on most products independently, with advanced skills in complex diagnostics and repair. Capable of training and guiding less experienced technicians.Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, specifically for diesel-powered generators and related systems.High Voltage / Low Voltage repair and maintenance experience.Experience in providing both engine and electrical repair and maintenance on large-scale power generation products.Ability to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks independently.
; Certifications: Apprentice Certified Power Generation/Electrical Technician (preferred).Relevant technical vocational diploma.

; Current electrical certification. Driving: Valid driving permit with a clean driving record (3 years minimum driving experience). The candidate must be 21 years or older and pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
