Food Technologist / Laboratory Technician to aid in ingredient applications and functionality evaluations
Responsibilities :
- Aid in the development of new ingredient technology for sugar reduction and sodium reduction in food and beverage products
- Conduct bench top and pilot plant trials to optimize formulation and processes
- Perform functional evaluations of new ingredients and record results
- Perform sensory testing of prototypes and coordinate expert panel sensory tests
- Perform shelf-life and stability evaluations
- Coordinate team evaluations on a regular basis
- Submit prototypes for analytical testing and compile results
- Communicate with suppliers for ingredient requests and information
- Write progress reports
- Maintain and organize laboratory and supplies
- Ensure laboratory safety
