Job Summary :
This labor-intensive position is responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading trucks, building pallets of product for bulk, and route trucks. The role requires attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of orders and compliance with shipper / receiver documentation. The Forklift Operator works from an electronic order system or order sheets, using a forklift or electronic pallet jack to build loads. The role demands a clean and safe work environment, and employees may work in varying weather conditions and fluctuating hours based on workload.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate a forklift or power pallet jack to pick products from the warehouse and build pallets according to load sheets or voice pick systems.
- Mark load tickets for out-of-stock items.
- Wrap pallets once the load is complete and ensure all products are securely loaded.
- Turn in paperwork with the order for verification before loading and have the truck checked.
- Stage pallets and / or load them into trucks when ready for departure.
- Complete partial pallets and properly store mixed pallets.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
- Adhere to regular, reliable, and predictable attendance standards.
