Job Summary :
The General Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment used in the installation and servicing of wind turbines. This role involves fault-finding, diagnostics, and testing of equipment, ensuring it meets internal and manufacturer specifications. The technician will work in a laboratory setting, adhering to carefully outlined procedures for calibration and maintenance tasks while contributing to a safe and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Equipment Maintenance & Calibration : Perform maintenance, repair, and calibration of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical tools and equipment, ensuring they meet required specifications.
- Fault Diagnosis : Conduct fault finding, strip down, and diagnostics of defective hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
- Laboratory Work : Operate in a laboratory environment, carefully following calibration procedures from start to finish.
- Tool & Equipment Testing : Test, calibrate, operate, and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic measuring instruments.
- Documentation & Reporting : Ensure all equipment inspections, repairs, and calibrations are logged in internal software; create non-conformance and fault reports as required.
- Compliance : Follow company procedures and regulatory guidelines in all aspects of the job, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental health standards (EHS).
- Customer Support : Ensure all customers receive the required documentation for the tools and equipment used, addressing quality and EHS concerns when reported.
- Workplace Safety : Actively contribute to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
