Interface Developer

Description:

• We are seeking an experienced Interface Developer with expertise in EPIC systems to support the Enterprise Development and Integration team at MDA on their EPIC upgrade projects.
• The ideal candidate will play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and supporting interfaces to ensure seamless communication between healthcare systems.
• This position involves working with healthcare data standards such as HL7 and FHIR, conducting extensive testing in environments like Iguana, and managing EPIC upgrades, including Nova Notes and cloud migrations.
• Candidates must hold up-to-date EPIC certification and possess a strong understanding of healthcare compliance and security requirements.

Responsibilities:

Interface Development and Maintenance:

• Develop and maintain system interfaces using integration engines.
• Write and maintain scripts to support interface development and integration processes.
• Integrate external APIs into existing systems to enable seamless communication.

Standards Compliance and Testing:

• Work with healthcare data standards such as HL7 and FHIR to facilitate data exchange between systems.
• Ensure compliance with HL7 standards and HIPAA regulations.
• Conduct rigorous batch testing and testing in Iguana environments to ensure interface reliability.

EPIC-Specific Tasks:

• Support EPIC upgrades, including managing Nova Notes, work queues, and migrations to cloud environments.
• Address and resolve Sherlock tickets through EPIC systems.
• Leverage Bridges Certification to manage EPIC’s Bridges interface effectively.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide technical support to address and resolve interface-related issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and project progress.

Project Collaboration:

Assist with multiple small projects under the team’s scope, providing expertise in specific areas to ensure continuous team productivity.

Require Qualifications:

Certifications:

• Bridges Certification (required).
• Proven experience with EPIC systems, including Nova Notes and cloud migrations.
• Previous hospital or healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of HL7 and FHIR healthcare data standards.
• Familiarity with integration engines and environments such as Iguana.
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance and security requirements.

Additional Skills:

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve interface-related issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

Experience managing upgrades and migrations within EPIC systems.

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple small projects effectively under tight deadlines.
