Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician - 24/7 Support
Shift: 24x7x365 – Flexible hours, including after hours, weekends, and holidays
Pay: $21 hr.
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician to join our team in providing 24x7x365 continuous support and monitoring of critical business and network computer systems, infrastructure services, customer service support, and data center operations. The NOC Technician will serve as the first point of contact for all IT-related incidents after business hours, during weekends, and on holidays, ensuring that disruptions are quickly identified, resolved, and escalated when necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support corporate and operational systems, including hardware, software, file systems, and network infrastructure (e.g., firewalls, SAP applications).
- Provide real-time support and troubleshooting for batch processing, SAP-CIS, SAP-FIS, SAP-SAP-CIS, SAP-HR, SAP-WMS, SAP-AMI, and telecom infrastructure.
- Answer third-party vendor calls and escalate issues to the appropriate support teams as needed.
- Answer the EIT support line (2020) during after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Monitor and provide support for data center environments at various locations, including the Main Office, EMC, and TLC.
- Ensure all incidents and issues are properly documented and escalated to support teams in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with Production Control & Support Teams during critical alerts and scheduled outages.
- Compile and distribute the daily Morning Report and weekly reports on system performance.
- Maintain updated NOC procedures, duty rosters, and ensure 24x7x365 coverage.
- Work under high-stress conditions and provide excellent service to internal customers while maintaining a calm, focused environment.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Essential Personnel: Must be available to respond to job responsibilities during all weather conditions, disasters, and other emergencies.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (required). Additional certifications or experience in IT support is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in a Network Operations Center, IT support, or technical support environment is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, computer systems, SAP applications, and problem resolution processes.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical Demands: Ability to sit for long periods, manually dexterous, able to lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to remain at the desk for extended periods to monitor systems and service requests.
- Travel: Willingness to travel for training sessions and business-related events.
Working Environment:
- Industry-standard office setting, though high-stress situations may arise.
- Employees may be required to work independently during a 12-hour shift with minimal supervision.
- Must be flexible with hours, willing to work after hours and on holidays when necessary.
