Job Summary:
Client is currently seeking a high-energy Cost Account Manager, Manufacturing Program Manager, or Operations Program Manager for Operations. This is an onsite role located at our Camden, NJ facility. The selected candidate will be responsible for the strategic and daily execution of the manufacturing function and will report to the Production Planning Manager. This position will support several different projects by managing the workflow across the production area in support of specific lines of business. The role involves planning, scheduling, coordinating, and/or monitoring final approval of products through the complete production cycle to meet production requirements. The candidate will work from engineering plans and production specifications to ensure materials are provided according to schedules, advise management of the status of work in progress, coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, and interface with engineering and program management as well as external customers. The role ensures the availability of materials and labor to meet production requirements and delivery commitments and works to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strong knowledge in Hi-tech Military Grade Communications equipment including Cabinet Assembly, Cable Harness, Automated Circuit Card Assembly, and Box Build.
• Monitor order status, including material status, managing WIP areas, location accuracy, inventory discrepancies, manufacturing and program support, and communication support.
• Engage with other IPT Leads, Functional Managers, and leadership to promote successful action planning and execution.
• Frequent collaboration with multiple functions (e.g., Design Engineering, Contracts, Manufacturing, etc.) and the program office.
• Support overall Program by contributing schedule inputs and changes into the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), maintaining timely and effective change management processes and procedures.
• Support multidisciplinary program reviews and presentations throughout the different phases of development, certification, and production readiness with internal and external stakeholders.
• May manage large projects or processes that are both inside and outside of the immediate job area.
• Coordinate and negotiate workflow through multiple work centers to secure needed resources while ensuring customer demands and schedule deadlines are met.
• Serve as the Earned Value Work Package Manager for assigned programs.
• Analyze material configuration and job order status using Windows-based computer systems and software.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees.
• Contribute to the achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on departmental results.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Significant working experience with the execution of earned value management (EVM).
• Demonstrated experience preparing and presenting business status, presentations, and business cases to executive leaders and external customers.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Experienced with all phases of manufacturing and program management (development, planning, conceptual design, requirements definition, preliminary design, prototyping, test and evaluation, integration, entry to production, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
• ITIL V4 certification.
