Job Description

Job Summary

As a member of the Production Team, the Production Technician III is responsible for assembling, disassembling, hydrostatic testing, and performance testing of pumps. The role also involves diagnosing and repairing service jobs, receiving and stocking inventory, pulling orders for pumps and parts, part identification, assembling parts orders, prepping and painting orders, and final packaging for shipment. This position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and adherence to safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

Pump & Parts Order Assembly : Assemble pumps and parts orders according to specifications.
Pump Disassembly & Repair : Disassemble and repair pumps as needed, ensuring proper functionality.
Hydrostatic & Performance Testing : Conduct hydrostatic testing and performance testing of pumps.
Inventory Management : Receive and stock inventory, ensuring accurate counts and organization.
Prepping & Painting : Prepare and paint pumps and parts orders before packaging.
Packaging & Shipment : Final packaging of pumps and parts orders for shipment to customers.
Safety Practices : Adhere to company safety practices and processes at all times, ensuring a safe work environment.

Required Qualifications

Education : High School Diploma or equivalent.

Mechanical Aptitude : Must have experience using hand tools and reading diagrams / blueprints. Manufacturing plant and / or carpentry experience is preferred.

Basic Computer Skills : Proficiency with basic computer tasks.

Multi-Tasking Ability : Must be able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously while supporting different areas of the shop.

Communication Skills : Strong written and oral communication skills.

Attention to Detail : High attention to detail in all tasks, ensuring accuracy and quality.

Preferred Qualifications

Mechanical Assembly Experience : At least two years of experience in mechanical assembly, especially with rotating equipment.

Forklift / Crane Experience : Experience with forklifts and cranes is preferred.

Certifications

None required.

Physical Demands

Lifting : Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.

Movement : Regularly required to stand, reach, bend, squat, push, pull, and move about the facility.

Manual Labor : Ability to climb ladders, lift and carry heavy loads, and perform manual labor.

Work in Various Conditions : Ability to work in areas involving heights, enclosed spaces, and near or above water.

Material Handling : Frequent use of material handling equipment and hand tools.

Standing / Walking : Ability to walk or stand for at least 8 hours per day.

Overtime : Ability to work overtime occasionally when required.

Work Environment

Shop Environment : The role involves daily exposure to shop elements, including the use of material handling equipment and hand tools. The work environment may involve working in various physical conditions, such as heights and enclosed spaces.
