Job Summary
The Purchasing Admin, Expediter plays a critical role in supporting daily purchasing operations by working closely with team members, stakeholders, and suppliers. This position is responsible for expediting urgent requests, ensuring timely delivery of purchase orders (POs), and addressing discrepancies in deliveries and billing. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in purchasing and supply chain operations, with a focus on process optimization and cost reduction.
Key Responsibilities
- Expedite urgent requests and resolve operational issues both internally and externally.
- Communicate regularly with suppliers to ensure timely, complete deliveries with required documentation.
- Notify stakeholders about discrepancies in deliveries, such as incorrect specifications, quantity variances, or non-compliant documentation.
- Collaborate with teams to address product quality problems and manage the timely disposition of rejected materials.
- Work with suppliers and accounts payable to resolve billing issues.
- Monitor and improve vendor delivery performance.
- Manage and expedite open purchase orders, providing weekly status reports.
- Assist with special projects involving data collection and maintenance in SAP.
