Job Summary :
The Quality Technician I is responsible for inspecting and testing processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts and products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications. The role requires knowledge of machines, tools, and the ability to analyze and interpret various types of materials to ensure quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities :
- Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment that do not meet specifications.
- Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, and required tools.
- Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, and work for conformance to specifications.
- Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded.
- Mark items with grade and acceptance or rejection status.
- Measure product dimensions to verify conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
- Analyze test data and make necessary computations to determine test results .
