The Registered Nurse (RN) β OB/GYN (Postpartum/Mother-Baby) provides compassionate and competent care to postpartum patients and newborns.
This role involves monitoring maternal and infant recovery, assisting with breastfeeding, and ensuring safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with facility policies and Patient-Centered Care principles.

The Registered Nurse (RN) β OB/GYN (Postpartum/Mother-Baby) provides compassionate and competent care to postpartum patients and newborns.
This role involves monitoring maternal and infant recovery, assisting with breastfeeding, and ensuring safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with facility policies and Patient-Centered Care principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, competent nursing care aligned with facility policies and best practices.
- Care for postpartum patients, including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and GYN surgery patients.
- Monitor maternal and newborn recovery, assessing vital signs, incision sites, and pain management.
- Assist with breastfeeding support, newborn care, and patient education.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and post-operative care as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure high-quality care.
- Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times.
- Licensure: Current RN license in state/district.
- Certifications: ACLS, NRP, and BLS (Required).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Postpartum/Mother-Baby preferred.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
- BSN: Highly desired.
