Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Alternate Investment Fund Accounting Expert to support a prestigious investment firm in New York. This role will focus on managing the financial reporting, accounting, and compliance of alternative investment funds, including private equity, hedge funds, and real estate funds.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of alternative investment funds.
- Prepare and review financial statements, investor reports, and regulatory filings in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting standards.
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and service providers for compliance and reporting.
- Analyze fund performance and provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Assist in fund asset valuation and Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations.
- Implement and enhance accounting policies and internal controls.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and accounting best practices.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CFA preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 10 years in fund accounting, with a focus on alternative investments.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and fund accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience with financial reporting tools and fund accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
