Job Summary :
The Equipment Support Specialist serves as the primary customer contact for equipment support and service. This role involves coordinating the Move / Add / Change (MAC) process, providing ongoing end-user training, performing basic equipment troubleshooting, and ensuring effective device management. Responsibilities include both remote and on-site support, with a focus on break-fix activities, equipment maintenance, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for equipment support and service requests
- Coordinate Move / Add / Change (MAC) processes for equipment
- Provide ongoing end-user training on equipment usage
- Perform basic device cleaning and replace operator accessible parts and consumables
- Handle break-fix activities, accounting for 70% of the role’s responsibilities
- Provide IP address support and perform basic equipment problem diagnosis
- Manage equipment removal and delivery for onsite support
- Contact service teams (Client and 3rd party) as required
- Utilize Client web-based applications for Service Call Handling
- Accurately report service calls and equipment issues in designated systems
- Download and install printer drivers and perform printer mapping to PCs
- Escalate printer network issues to appropriate resources
- Provide remote device management and control
- Configure devices by entering IP addresses, scanning templates, and user access levels
- Monitor and apply current software updates and patches
- Provide on-site support for remote resolution issues requiring technical expertise
- Manage non-Client devices as required
- Proactively manage consumables and supplies using the DOS calculator
- Maintain on-site operator replaceable parts inventory
- Collect equipment meter information for billing purposes
- Perform data entry for activity and asset tracking
- Manage on-site parts inventory using PM4
