What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Writer position at Compunnel Inc.?
Candidate would have the knowledge to create and revise complex technical documentation and have an expert understanding of code and accessories such as XML, S1000 D, and SGML authoring and publishing suites, style sheets, Document Type Definition, Data Modules, business rules, XSL-FO, and FOSI's in support of the marketing, operation, repair, and maintenance of company Technical Documentation products. Responsibility to ensure all modified or developed tools, processes, accessories and software code conforms to company, industry and government standards and specifications, and that the tools perform the functions intended.
Skills Required
• Experience with XML publishing and software tools.
• Helps establish new processes to increase efficiency.
• Expert level knowledge of markup languages.
• Experience with XML Component Content Management Systems (CCMS)
• Experience with XML development tools such as XML Oxygen and XML Spy.
• Experience writing XML to XML or XML to text transforms with XSLT 2.0
• Knowledge of XSL-FO 1.1 functionality.
• Experience with xPath.
• Experience with MIL-STD-40051, MIL-STD-38784, and/or MIL-DTL-24784.
XML AND CCMS and XSLT AND (MIL OR Military)
Skills Preferred • Technical writing experience preferred.
Experience Required Minimum of 5 years experience working with XML, CCMS and XSLT.
Experience Preferred
Education Required Bachelor's degree in related field.
