Job Summary :
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for managing the storage, organization, and transportation of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods within the warehouse. This includes safely driving and operating forklifts, handling shipments, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The operator follows safety protocols, inventory procedures, and ensures compliance with shipping regulations, including DOT, DHS, TSCA, and CT-PAT. They also participate in various safety and health initiatives to support a safe and productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities :
- Pull finished goods from storage areas.
- Put away raw materials in storage areas.
- Safely drive and operate a forklift.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Understand and follow pick lists and BOLs.
- Operate pumps for off-loading tankers.
- Perform set-up and clean-up for tasks.
- Actively participate in safety programs, 5S, and perform daily checklists.
- Follow operating procedures for proper inventory, handling, and staging of material.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, and identify and dispose of returned, damaged, or obsolete material.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area through the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and a disciplined daily work ethic.
- Consolidate and organize the warehouses and outside storage areas.
- Participate and contribute to Health & Safety, Security, and Environmental activities (SAFE meetings, BBS observer, HS&E training, housekeeping, & 5S).
- Follow shipping regulatory requirements such as DOT, DHS, TSCA, and CT-PAT.
- Maintain storage of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods while obtaining materials needed for batch makers, adjusters, tinters, and fill-off as needed by production while following all safety guidelines and procedures.
Required Qualifications :
Education : High School
Certification : Forklift Certified
