Job Summary :

We are seeking a passionate, data-savvy Data Scientist to join our Analytics team and drive growth through data-driven insights and opportunity discovery. In this dynamic role, you will dive into customer, product, channel, and digital data to uncover opportunities for optimization and customer value delivery. By providing actionable performance insights, you will influence business decisions and contribute to strategic growth. The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical expertise, communication skills, and a passion for optimization, data storytelling, and data visualization. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing, Data, and senior leadership, to influence the company’s strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Data Analysis & Insights : Synthesize data from various analytics tools to uncover actionable insights related to customer behavior, digital sales, and customer value delivery. Clearly communicate recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Actively participate in cross-functional initiatives, providing opportunity analysis, measurement plans, dashboards, and post-release testing analyses.
  • Data Visualization : Create intuitive and compelling dashboards to enable business decision-making, focusing on automation, anomaly detection, and actionable visualizations.
  • Data Extraction & Analysis : Extract and analyze data using tools such as Python, R, and / or SAS.
  • Partnership & Evaluation : Partner with teams across Digital, Marketing, Product, and IT to evaluate the success of new initiatives.
  • Fraud & Risk Collaboration : Work with Fraud and Risk teams to identify and mitigate threats to organizational assets.
  • KPIs & Metrics : Help build KPIs and metrics that gauge the success of digital and omnichannel assets, while creating self-service dashboards to promote data access and insights.
  • Automation & Efficiency : Apply automation techniques to streamline manual processes, improving accuracy and creating a suite of self-service assets.

Required Qualifications :

Education : Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Decision Sciences, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a STEM-related degree. Or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in analytics or data science.

Technical Skills :

  • Experience with business intelligence and data mining tools, including Tableau and Tableau Server.
  • Proficient in SQL programming and working with large databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SPSS, Teradata, and Hadoop.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Statistical & Machine Learning Methods : Experience applying statistical or machine learning methods using R, Python, or SAS in a corporate setting.
  • Programming Skills : Extensive experience with R or Python programming, and familiarity with Java or C in a data mining context.
  • Web Analytics & A / B Testing : Familiarity with web analytics tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and IBM Digital Analytics, along with experience in A / B testing tools (e.g., Optimizely, Adobe Target) and test design.
  • Web Development : Experience building web-based applications using HTML, CSS, Perl, and JavaScript.
  • Certifications (if any) :

    No specific certifications are required for this role, but relevant certifications in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Business Intelligence would be a plus.
