Database Administrator

Job Description :

Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.

Experience with backups, restores and recovery models

Experience in SQL Server User Management and Security settings, integration with Active Directory, LDAP, Locking a User, naming conventions etc.

Performance Optimization for SQL Server / Query / Partitions / Stored Procedures etc.

Experience in Managing SQL Server instances on cloud (AWS / AZ / GCP ) . EC2 / RDS or Cloud SQL

Experience in Automating DB Installations and Maintenance tasks .

Good to have knowledge / experience with SSIS package installations and troubleshooting batch issues.

What you’ll do for us…

Perform application database administration functions including database performance tuning, database application design, physical data modeling, and environment support

Plan and manage changes into the production environment. Triage and resolve database technical issues efficiently whilst mitigating the impact to the business

Automated provisioning of SQL DB and SSIS

Monitor and analyse database activity to proactively identify and prevent potential Incidents and recommend performance improvements.

What you’ll have

Experience : 5 - 7 years of experience

Experience in SQL DBA and SSIS

Basic knowledge of No SQL Databases - MongoDB / DynamoDB / Cloud Data Store.

Experience of managing Cloud Databases in any public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Familiar with tuning utilities and reports. For example, SQL trace, System Monitor, Open Activity Monitor, and Database Engine Tuning Advisor etc.

Systematic problem-solving approach combined with a strong sense of ownership and drive.

Education : Bachelors Degree
