Job Summary :
The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service at a medical clinic, ensuring smooth and efficient operations at the front desk. This role involves answering telephone calls, scheduling appointments, verifying patient demographics and insurance information, and assisting with patient inquiries. The Front Desk Receptionist will also handle release of records requests and ensure patient eligibility and insurance verification are accurate.
Key Responsibilities :
- Answer telephone calls and relay messages in the clinic’s call center.
- Verify patients’ demographics and insurance information.
- Schedule patient appointments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Review patients' medical records to assist with patient inquiries and information requests.
- Coordinate Release of Records requests for patients in compliance with legal and privacy guidelines.
- Verify patient eligibility and ensure insurance information is current and correct.
- Provide excellent customer service, both in person and over the phone, ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Maintain an organized front desk environment, ensuring all patient and office documents are handled appropriately.
- Perform other clerical and administrative duties as required to support clinic operations.
