Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to manage the shipment, receipt, packaging, and routing of materials.
This role involves maintaining accurate records, operating machinery, and ensuring efficient material handling processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, and material handling transactions with relevant individuals and departments.
- Perform picking, inventorying, and packaging tasks and route materials to appropriate departments.
- Assist in preparing merchandise for shipment and maintain records of transactions.
- Verify shipment accuracy against bills of lading, invoices, or other records using Oracle or other systems.
- Set up locations in ERP and resolve purchase order and receiving discrepancies with planner-buyers.
- Organize stock for maximum efficiency and accessibility, adhering to all safety rules.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material moving tools as needed.
- Deliver products from receiving to their destinations and expedite internal material requirements.
- Transfer inventory to multiple locations, including MRB, and set up material presentations using DBS tools such as Client's Material Processing (CMP) and Visual Management.
- Conduct physical cycle counts of materials and reconcile discrepancies with support from Senior Material Handlers.
