Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer with expertise in DAX, dimensional modeling, and SQL to develop and optimize Power BI semantic layers and reports. The role will focus on creating semantic layers and building reports while ensuring minimal transformations within Power BI.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop Power BI semantic layers (datasets) and reports for multiple business domains
• Implement advanced DAX calculations to support business reporting needs
• Optimize data models using partitions, incremental refresh, and aggregation awareness
• Design and implement dimensional models, including facts, dimensions, and bridge tables
• Write and optimize SQL queries for view creation and native queries within Power BI
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify source data requirements and ensure seamless integration
• Work alongside engineering teams to leverage Snowflake data models for Power BI reporting
• Ensure efficient report performance and scalability through best practices in Power BI development
Required Qualifications
• Strong proficiency in Power BI with advanced knowledge of DAX
• Experience with big data concepts, including partitions, incremental refresh, and aggregation awareness
• Expertise in dimensional modeling (facts, dimensions, bridge tables)
• Proficiency in SQL for creating views and writing native queries
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable Power BI solutions
• Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and report performance optimization
