Job Summary :
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with professional standards and the California Business and Professional Code. This position involves assisting with patient preparation for radiologic examinations, communicating instructions from the radiologist, collecting patient data, and ensuring proper documentation in the patient's medical record. The technologist will also maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment and may be required to work in different modalities or locations within the Greater Sacramento Area.
Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Care : Assist in prepping patients for radiologic examinations, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Instruction Relay : Relay instructions from the radiologist to the patient or an authorized person.
- Data Collection and Documentation : Collect patient data, document patient concerns, and record care provided in the patient's medical record for review by the radiologist.
- Diagnostic Imaging : Perform diagnostic medical imaging, ensuring quality images are captured for evaluation by the radiologist.
- Environment Maintenance : Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in the radiology department.
- Additional Modalities : May be required to work in other modalities if appropriately licensed.
- Flexibility : Occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.
