Senior System Analyst

Job Summary :

The Client's Business Intelligence team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Analyst to play a pivotal role in enabling Business Intelligence capabilities and driving impactful, data-driven solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders—including Product Owners, Data Engineers, DBAs, and Architects—to deliver complex data-driven solutions, ensuring data governance, quality, and security standards are met. You will be responsible for data discovery, sourcing analysis, data mapping, and helping design and deliver key features related to Portfolio Construction Tools.

Key Responsibilities :

• Data Discovery & Sourcing : Analyze and discover data from multiple sources, identifying opportunities for improving data quality and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Data Mapping & Design : Define data mapping rules and guide the design of data models for complex data initiatives, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and business requirements.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders : Work closely with DBAs, architects, and subject area experts to understand existing data assets and incorporate feedback from Product Owners, Data Architects, and Data Engineers.
• Business Rule Development : Write and maintain business rules using SQL logic, ensuring that they meet both functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Data Governance & Security : Drive data governance initiatives and facilitate timely data sharing and security approvals for key data programs, ensuring compliance and security across the data lifecycle.
• Knowledge Management : Build and maintain a knowledge base for assigned data subject areas, serving as a technology data expert for those areas.
• Data Quality Issue Resolution : Facilitate the resolution of long-standing data quality issues by coordinating between critical business and technology stakeholders.
• Product Development Support : Collaborate with product teams to design, build, and test new features that have a direct impact on the Portfolio Construction Tools.
• Tool Adoption : Support the adoption of data governance tools like Collibra, Alation, Manta, or Metacenter to ensure effective business glossary management, data lineage tracking, and overall data quality.

Required Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience : A minimum of 7 years of experience in data analysis, with a strong background in technical data analysis, design, and business intelligence.
