Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect II to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of large-scale, complex technical solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise architecture, development processes, and advanced technologies. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver innovative, secure, and efficient technical solutions, particularly within the automotive OEM sector.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement architectural solutions for large, complex programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and principles.
• Lead the detailed design and development phases, applying proper design patterns and adhering to established architectural guidelines.
• Provide technical leadership for development teams, including mentoring, code reviews, and ensuring quality and security in implementation.
• Drive the integration of security principles into all phases of design and architecture.
• Collaborate with vendors, stakeholders, and teams to design and review solutions, including logical and physical architectures.
• Lead technical troubleshooting, including bug fix remediation and performance tuning.
• Oversee the development of web applications, web services, mobile applications, and APIs with a strong focus on data integration.
• Manage and influence project timelines, resource allocation, and delivery effort estimations.
• Present solutions to the Architecture Review Board, detailing classifications, protections, and overall design approaches.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices, particularly in the automotive OEM domain.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in advanced technologies, with at least 5 years as a technical architect.
• At least 7 years of development experience, including 3 years leading development teams.
• Extensive knowledge of enterprise architecture methodologies and concepts.
• Strong expertise in web applications, databases, container computing platforms, infrastructure, networks, and web integration software.
• Proficiency in API and data integration, with a robust background in designing scalable and secure solutions.
• Proven experience in project management, time management, and delivery effort estimation.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for conveying technical goals to team members and management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical troubleshooting, including bug fixes and performance optimizations.
• Experience working in the automotive OEM industry.
Preferred Qualifications
• Extensive experience with large-scale architecture design and development methodologies.
• Knowledge of vendor markets and established vendor relationships.
