Role Overview :
As a Derivatives Margining Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of margining and clearing services for derivatives-related trades. You will work closely with brokers, internal teams, and external clients to process trade files, issue margin calls, and resolve trade position discrepancies. Your role is critical in mitigating daily risk and ensuring regulatory compliance by maintaining smooth margin and settlement processes.
Primary Responsibilities :
Client Communication :
Maintain consistent communication with brokers and both internal and external clients to ensure smooth operations and resolution of any issues.
Clearing Services :
Provide clearing services for selected clients, ensuring accurate and timely margin calls are issued by the end of each day.
Trade File Processing :
Process trade files and ensure margin calls are issued within the designated time frame.
Margining Process Management :
Oversee the margining process for all derivatives-related trades, ensuring it is successful and completed on time.
Risk Mitigation :
Communicate daily with clients to request margin and settlement intentions and monitor aging margin fails to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize risk exposure.
Trade Break Resolution :
Manage and resolve any trade and position breaks with various derivatives exchanges.
Collaboration on Trade Flow :
Partner with the Projects team to manage execution-only trade flow. Assist with testing, documentation, quality assurance validation, and other internal tasks.
