Job Title: Cardiovascular Technologist (Invasive Procedures)

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team, specializing in invasive cardiovascular procedures. In this role, you will support physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and the smooth operation of the procedure. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for invasive cardiovascular procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, balloon angioplasties, structural heart cases (Watchman, TAVR), electrophysiology (EP) cases (PPM, ablations), peripheral procedures, and pulmonary embolism (PE) cases.
- Operate imaging equipment to visualize the cardiovascular system and aid in guiding procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs throughout the procedures and respond to any changes or complications promptly.
- Ensure proper sterilization, maintenance, and handling of medical equipment.
- Accurately document patient information and procedure details in the medical records using Cerner EMR and Merge Hemo dynamics system.
- Scrub in and assist during diagnostic and interventional cases.
- Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotations, including one night per week and one weekend every 4th or 5th weekend.
Hours of Operation:
- Monday through Friday: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM
- On-call availability required after hours and on weekends.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's or bachelor’s degree in cardiovascular technology or a related field preferred.
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) required.
- Previous experience in invasive cardiovascular procedures is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
