Compensation: $97,757.45 - $143,059.47 per year
Position Summary:
CompuRay Medical is seeking a qualified professional to join the Women's Imaging team at WPH CAMS. Under the supervision of the Radiology Administrator (or designee), the Mammographer will perform routine and special procedure imaging, prepare patients for procedures, assist radiologists, and operate radiology equipment. The role also includes adhering to radiation safety principles and performing other essential duties as required, ensuring high-quality images and optimal patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for specific examinations, observing required protocols and documentation.
- Produce high-quality images and review exams for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist physicians during procedures as necessary.
- Perform equipment quality assurance and calibration as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and report equipment malfunctions.
- Process images or films and handle related office tasks (e.g., answering phones, checking-in patients, obtaining previous records).
- Communicate with radiologists and attending physicians regarding images and reports.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, ensuring care based on age and psychosocial needs.
- Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and maintain professional development.
- Rotation to offsite locations as necessary.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program or hospital-based program.
- NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit required.
- ARRT registered (RT).
- Mammography certification preferred or within 1 year of hire (requires 40 hours of training and 25 supervised exams).
- BLS certification (AHA) required or must be obtained within 90 days.
- Compliance with ongoing CE requirements (24 credits every 2 years).
- Radiation dose pledge to Image Gently and Image Wisely required.

- Position is eligible for certification incentive.
- May require flexibility in hours, including holiday or overtime shifts.
