What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Computer Repair Technician position at ComputAbility LLC?
ComputAbility in Ellensburg is seeking a highly motivated part-time computer technician possessing excellent customer service skills to join our team! Technician will work 15-25 hours on average, but may be needed close to full-time during busier times. Job hours will generally be between 9am and 6pm.
Technician will perform computer and mobile phone repairs in a timely fashion. Technician must be knowledgeable in using diagnostic software to troubleshoot computers to determine hardware failures, be knowledgeable in installing and upgrading Windows & Apple operating systems (including iOS), be able to download and install specific drivers, and be able to image hard drives and utilize data migration and recovery tools. Use of electrical volt meters, soldering irons, and computer repair tools is required. Technician will enter and update repair tickets and keep a daily repair log to share details and status information with other technicians. Technician will also have retails sales and customer services duties when working alone.
Qualified Candidates:
- Must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have had at least one year and preferably three years' experience as an enterprise technician, retail computer repair technician, or related experience. Candidates with more experience and training will be considered for Senior Technician status and pay.
- Mobile phone repair experience preferred.
- Possess a current CompTIA A Certification or be able to attain their A Certification within 90 days from start date.
- Must be able to work independently with little or no direction.
- Must be able to learn new skills quickly as needed.
- Possess excellent spoken and written English communication skills as well as excellent organizational skills.
- Possess a valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Possess the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Have the ability to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Multitask while upholding quality and integrity of work.
