GENERAL FUNCTION:
Luxottica is seeking a communications professional to provide full time support to the Corporate Communications team on a contract basis. Core responsibilities include copy writing and editing across a variety of online and print corporate communication channels. The Communications Coordinator will also be responsible for developing/managing project-based communications plans and projects.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Research, interview, write, and edit content for various online and print corporate communication channels, including Luxottica’s corporate intranet, OneSight website, and other materials.
- Support communication plan development and implementation across the team on a project basis, as assigned.
- Develop and program online surveys using Zoomerang software (training provided) and track/report results.
- Communication with Others:
Internal:
- Corporate Communications and Internal Media team members, including Graphic Designers.
- Internal department clients, including Central Purchasing, OneSight team, and others.
- Interview subjects, including leaders and professionals at all levels of the organization.
External:
- May have occasional contact with vendors and community partners.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Exceptional writing, grammar, and spelling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Word).
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Ability to tailor writing for different audiences and mediums.
- Excellent ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
- Proactive and results-driven.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
EXPERIENCE:
- Communications experience (including writing) in a corporate, agency or nonprofit environment and/or freelance experience preferred.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field.
Specific Skills Needed:
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Health Industry Background w/ Claims Experience
- Project Management
- Working knowledge of claims adjudication systems (i.e. Facets)
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
