Job description
Key Duties/Responsibilities
Project Lab Support:
• Assist in project lab work for designated categories.
• Prepare product formulations and support documentation as part of the product approval process.
• Support product sampling creation.
Product Analysis:
• Conduct product analyses for syrup and finished beverages, including pH, titratable acidity, Brix, and other product attributes.
• Validate products using fountain equipment for FCB (Frozen Carbonated Beverage) and FUB (Frozen Uncarbonated Beverage) performance.
Sample Management:
• Coordinate sample shipments to manufacturing facilities, company employees, and other parties of interest.
Pilot Plant Operations Support:
• Provide product developer support for pilot plant projects.
General Lab Support:
• Maintain lab cleanliness and organization.
• Restock ingredients and supplies.
• Discard expired products and ingredients.
• Facilitate periodic cleaning activities (Coordinate Quarterly Cleaning Activities).
• Adhere to established company operating policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
Primary Technical Skills
1. Good of knowledge of food technology/product development.
2. Good knowledge of food chemistry and complex food systems (food ingredients and their interactions).
3. Good knowledge of food and beverage process technology, food hygiene and food microbiology.
4. Developed project management skills - planning, organizing and execution.
Education
BS degree with a minimum 1-3 years relevant experience.
Educational background: major in food science, food technology, food engineering or food nutrition.
