Web Services Architect

Scope of the project:

This assignment will support SCDMV Web Service and Web Site development and trouble shooting. Projects include SCDMV on-line service design and development, web site redesign and integration, external business-to-business web service design, enhancement, and support. Requires expertise in Web certificate processing and management and secure communications. Some production trouble shooting support will be expected so some level of production support experience is desirable.

Daily Duties / Responsibilities:

• Analyze the SCDMV Phoenix II and Web Service applications.
• Take the lead in analyzing and trouble-shooting assigned system problems.
• Propose solutions.
• Code, test, promote, and interact with impacted users ensuring that solution meets requirements.
• Provide daily and weekly status to the development manager.

• Microsoft .NET Architecture and programming
• MS Web service architecture and programming including WCF and MVC
• Business to Business web service interface architecture
• Web User Interface programming
• Windows workstation programming and programming against Device driver APIs
• Visual Studio 2019
• Visual Studio 2022
• VB.NET, C#.NET, ASP.NET, WCF, Web API
• MS Internet Information Systems (IIS) architecture and support
• Web security
• RDBMS (Oracle and SQL)
• Experience with UNIX, Windows, Linux, MacOS, Cisco, Juniper, web apps, databases, strong authentication, operating systems and network security protocols and procedures
• C/C

Preferred Skills

• Web Service Trouble Shooting and production support experience
• Microsoft Team Foundation Server
• Microsoft Office
• Experience with Motor Vehicle Administration or similar government sector

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
